Julimar Forest is at the most northerly aspect of the Northern Jarrah Forests and lies only less than 80 km from the Perth CBD, so easily accessible to many Western Australians.
It has a strong conservation history and great potential for the future if provided with the appropriate management and protection. Unfortunately, currently the Forest is being mismanaged and is currently under threat from misuse by irresponsible 4-wheel drivers, an increased risk of being contaminated by Dieback, lack of feral animal control, a questionable burning regime and mining.
The Julimar Conservation and Forest Alliance is working towards having Julimar designated a National Park to afford it the protection it deserves so it will be able to be enjoyed by future generations.
