Ben Croxford: Nuts About Natives: 20 years of propagating Western Australian native plants
Ben Croxford: Nuts About Natives nursery
Ben Croxford will discuss some of his experiences over the last 20 years owning and managing a contract-based, native plant nursery. The wholesale nursery focusses on providing provenance-correct plants for revegetation projects throughout the southwest of Western Australia. With his partner Anouska Cousin, they have undertaken research into the propagation of some of the rarest and most recalcitrant species. Combined with modern horticultural techniques and purpose-built facilities, including a plant tissue culture laboratory, they have successfully increased the range of local species reliably available for revegetation projects.
