Bungendore Park Tree Planting
31 July, 2016 @ 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
As part of Nation Tree Day , the Bungendore Park Committee and the Armadale branch are holding the annual tree planting day. 1000 plants will be planted in an old gravel pit located in Bungendore Park.
This is important because this park (larger than Kings Park in Perth) is a prime natural bushland resource within the City of Armadale. Your assistance at this event will help rehabilitate an area which many years ago had been used as a gravel pit. See how previous plantings have transformed it. With this year’s planting, we aim to restore the flora diversity and support native fauna in Bungendore Park.
Bring afternoon tea to share (from 3:00 pm), trowel, appropriate sturdy footwear and wet weather gear if necessary.
