Dr Christine Allen – Co-ordinator revegetation projects, Greening Australia
You may remember in the past, a number of projects run by Greening Australia in Perth, including the John Tonkin Awards, “Grow us a Home” educational resources and revegetation through the Green Corps program. Since then, Greening Australia has become one of the largest environmental not-for-profit organisations in Australia with 150 staff in 30 locations. To maximise impact between now and 2030, Greening Australia now focuses its efforts on delivering five key programs in partnership with thousands of landholders, partners and businesses across Australia: Great Southern Landscapes, Tasmanian Island Ark, Reef Aid, Thriving on Country and Nature in Cities.
Dr Christine Allen will outline some of the key projects being undertaken in WA, including large-scale revegetation in the WA Wheatbelt area which is showing promising results for the future of regenerative agriculture.
