Dr Lucy Commander – Germinating a passion for plants
9 October, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
As part of the Perth Branch’s theme for 2018, speakers are asked to include their ‘wildflower journey’ in their talk – how they became involved with wildflowers! Dr Lucy Commander will be our presenter for the evening.
Earlier in her career, Dr Commander was the recipient of the Wildflower Society – Perth Branch’s ‘Australian Native Plants Student Prize’ in 2003.
Meetings of the Perth Branch of the Society are held on the second Tuesday of each month in the Subiaco Community Centre across the road from Crossways Shopping centre in Bagot Road. Doors open at 7.45pm and the meeting begins at 8pm. Supper is served after the talk and everyone is eligible for the night’s door prize. You do not need to be a member of the Society to attend, entry requiring a $2 door donation.
The Wildflower Society uses its independent technical knowledge of WA’s wildflowers to help you better know, grow, enjoy and conserve the wildflowers of Western Australia.
