Bring along your camera (or phone) as Keith will bring a few wildflower specimens and is happy for people to take a few macro photos and ask questions after the talk.
Keith grew up on farm in Mundijong in Western Australia with a keen interest in nature. As an information technology teacher he taught about the use of digital cameras starting when they were first introduced to consumers in 1994.
He has presented photos at a previous Wildflower conference and each year contributes wildflower and bird photos at Wireless Hill and in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.
Keith also spends 2 weeks photographing orca and seabirds offshore from Bremer Bay and runs courses about bird photography at the Eyre Bird Observatory adjacent to the Great Australian Bight.
He regularly runs wildlife photography sessions in Perth and has given talks at multiple camera clubs and freely helps individuals with camera setups and techniques.
Keith will be demonstrating live macro camera technique on wildflower samples and can take questions throughout. Items that will be covered include protecting all flora during photography, exposure bracketing, live view focusing, subject backgrounds, lighting, tripods, stacked images, etc.
