City of Kwinana will be once again organising this popular annual walk with Guides from the Murdoch Branch.

Get out and enjoy the wildflowers that are right here in Kwinana, with a guided tour from the Murdoch Branch of the Wildflower Society.
Tours will be leaving every 10 minutes from Sandringham Park from 10am onwards, you can select a time slot when booking your ticket. The main walk takes a couple of hours with many stops and is approximately 2km. For a shorter 800m version of the walk, there is the option to leave the group at the lookout.
Do you want to enjoy Kwinana’s wildflower walk but have small children who aren’t ready to walk the distance? Join us for a special storytelling and craft activity. Recommended for ages 3 to 5, younger and older children (1 to 8) are also welcome. Adult supervision is required. Enjoy stories and craft with a visiting native flower fairy and the Kwinana Public Library, and go on a short walk to see what wildflowers you can find. Activities start at 10am. Please choose the children’s activity ticket when booking.
Wear clothing appropriate for the weather, and comfortable enclosed shoes
We recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and re-usable water bottle – Leave No Trace.
Don’t forget to bring your camera to take photos to enter into the City’s Djilba Bonar (season of Djilba) Photo Competition!
We invite you to bring a picnic and join us after the walk to taste some bush tucker foods (while supplies last) and learn about the importance of caring for country.
