Australia has an extremely rich flora of marine plants with over 12,000 species of which approximately 7,500 are confined to Australia. Apart from their inherent value, Algae are important for chemicals, food, fertilizer, medicines and the basic habitat and food components of most marine ecosystems.

Doors open at 7.45pm and the meeting begins at 8pm. Supper is served after the talk and everyone is eligible for the night’s door prize. You do not need to be a member of the Society to attend, entry requiring a $2 door donation.
