Many things are undergoing transformation with the warmer and drier weather. However, the bushland is still bright with a myriad of colourful and fascinating wildflowers, but consisting of quite a different suite of species from that of the Djilba, the preceding season.
The presentation features both the flora of the Forrestdale Lake Conservation Reserve, one of Armadale’s most significant bushland areas and for comparison the wildflowers of the Darling Range and Scarp. The objective of the presentation is to awaken our community to Armadale’s flora heritage and to encourage all to get out into the bush and appreciate the wildflowers it has to offer.
