Steve McCabe: Plant sociology, artificial intelligence and mega-diverse gardening

In this presentation Steve McCabe will demonstrate the use of a widely available artificial intelligence (AI) tool to better understand plant communities in Southwest Western Australia. He will talk about the importance of understanding the relationships between plant species and how AI can help us identify these relationships. He will then discuss how this can be applied in “mega-diverse gardening” and planting many compatible species of plants together to create a more diverse ecosystem.
