Walk – Forrestdale Damplands
9 October, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Forrestdale Damplands are part of the Forrestdale Lake Nature Reserve, an internationally recognised Ramsar Wetland and important bird sanctuary. Explore an area where places inundated by the winter rains begin to dry out and are replaced by masses of colourful ephemerals, interspersed on higher ground with Banksia woodland, still vibrant with a late spring flush of flowers.
Flat site, easy walking, may be damp areas. Meet near the Armadale Golf Club, Forrest Road, Forrestdale. Bring water and snacks. Wear suitable clothing and sturdy shoes or gum boots.
The Wildflower Society uses its independent technical knowledge of WA’s wildflowers to help you better know, grow, enjoy and conserve the wildflowers of Western Australia.
