Steve McCabe will demonstrate the use of a widely available artificial intelligence (AI) tool to better understand plant communities in Southwest WA and talk about the importance of understanding the relationships between plant species, how AI can help us identify these relationships and discuss how this can be applied in "mega-diverse gardening".

John Huisman: Western Australia’s Marine Plants
Dr John Huisman is the Curator of the Western Australian Herbarium and he also undertakes taxonomic research into the Western Australian marine plants. John’s presentation will concentrate on the seaweed flora of the Perth region, including historical and recent studies, and will attempt to raise appreciation of the value and beauty of this often-ignored group of plants.

Fred and Jean Hort: Are insects helping to save the world?
Fred and Jean Hort are both Parks and Wildlife volunteers as well as Research Associates for the Western Australian Museum.
