How To Join
Members can join or renew their membership online. For those who prefer to renew by post, this is still an option. Simply download the membership application form, complete it and return it to us by post or email. Payment can be made by EFT, credit card on the form or over the phone although we regret to advise that cheques can no longer be accepted.

Membership Categories
Society memberships are for 12 months, with the renewal date on the anniversary of the joining date, which can be done online, by post or over the phone.
Individual Membership $60
Family Membership $110
Student Membership $10
Student Members are individuals who are tertiary students. Proof of status shall be produced upon application for membership. They shall be entitled to all the benefits of Individual Members.

Membership Agreement
Membership is open to all persons or organisations supporting the Objects of the Society:
- To encourage the conservation and preservation of Western Australian flora by, among other things, supporting efforts to strengthen laws and regulations for the conservation of Western Australian flora, encouraging enforcement of laws and regulations and making submissions on the preservation of Western Australian flora to government and other organisations.
- To raise public awareness about the value of, and need to conserve, bushland.
- To promote the cultivation of Western Australian flora in home gardens and public areas.
- To promote the study of Western Australian flora and to keep records of information on growing methods and the performance of such plants under cultivation.
Wildflower Society membership gives you access to a wide range of expertise and experience and provides unique opportunities to support and participate in the work of the Wildflower Society, a fully independent non profit organisation dedicated to preserving and promoting world famous Western Australian flora.
- Education – access to professional advice regarding all aspects of native plants – propagating, cultivation, technical expertise, scientific breakthroughs , access to the WA State Herbarium and professional botanists. The Society provides unparalleled opportunities for education.
- Activities – There are a myriad of activities offered by individual branches throughout Western Australia. All branch meetings and activities are open to any member – you are not tied to a single branch.
- Library – the Honor Venning Library is an important resource for books, many out of print. It also contains many records of independent research undertaken by the Society which is unavailable elsewhere. Several branches also have libraries of rare and out of print books.
- Advocacy – the Society provides considered, professional responses to Local, State and Commonwealth governments.
- Research – the Society conducts original research in the form of flora surveys. Many of these areas would never be surveyed, nor their botanical worth known, if it were not for the rigorous work undertaken by the Society.
- Newsletter – the newsletter is a professional source of news and information that would not be available elsewhere. Subscription to the journal Australian Plants through your membership for an additional fee.
