York Branch

York Branch Logo

The York Branch is based in the area around York. The group is active in propagating and planting activities and holds an annual plant sale – the fruits of their propagating success. Propagation workshops are held regularly.

The York Branch also maintains a native garden found in the centre of York which demonstrates how a waterwise garden can flourish in our dry summer/wet winter climate.

The 16ha of Shire land on the outskirts of town has been developed as a seed orchard over the past 20 years by members. It is now producing sufficient seed to be of commercial interest so should soon give some return for the work that has been put in.

Annual plant sales are held in May and June at the Peace Park Markets in York.
