York Bushland Garden grant aquitted – August 2026

There was plenty to celebrate on Friday last week for the York Branch of the Wildflower Society of WA. After 18 months we finally completed the Aquittal of our Lotterywest Grant. A huge job with a tractor purchased, our storage shed built and fitted out in the York Seed Orchard, tanks and interpretive signage installed and nursery extended in the York Bushland Garden.

A huge thank you to all who assisted to make it possible- Lotterywest, Mary Bremner Strategic Grant Program, WSWA esp. Robert Atkins, York Men’s Shed, and many others in the York Community. This has been a real team effort and we appreciate all assistance provided in so many ways.

To the York Branch volunteers – you have excelled and we can now enjoy and make use of our upgrades. Countless hours and no blood or tears – just a little sweat thank you
