Home » Branch News » Wildflower Walk Kalamunda Railway Heritage Trail – 23rd August 2026
Members of the Darling Range Branch were joined by just over 30 participants for a wildflower walk along the Kalamunda end of the Railway Heritage Trail. Fred Hainsworth gave a short history of the trail, including information about the historic railway line used to transport timber from the local timber mills to the coast for export.
The weather was perfect. Penny Hussey led the walk and gave a lot of interesting information about the many wildflowers we saw along the way. It was especially delightful to have some children along.
Looking forward to our next walk on 20th September.
