Alex George: Blue flowers in Western Australia
Blue flowers caught the eye of the very first European to collect plants here, William Dampier, in August 1699.
A prominent genus of mostly blue flowers, Dampiera, is appropriately named after him. But what is ‘blue’? This talk by Alex will take you on a wander among the many plant families here that have blue (or almost blue) flowers, from the coast to the desert.
