John Ewing has accompanied Andrew Brown on many trips over the years to find Eremophilas, check out the locations and details of this delightful species, which is one of the most-rich genera in Western Australia – with around 300 species, subspecies and varieties.
The name means ‘desert lover’ & they are the characteristic plants of semi-arid woodland habitats.
During late winter when there has been some rain between Perth and Newman (just a short 1200 kilometres) there are a wide range of eremophila species that can be enjoyed. While on this trip we will take a few little side explorations to add some extra flavour. Andrew Brown, the author of the Eremophila Field Guide will tell you “Where you find one eremophila, you are sure to find more”. This talk will help to prove his point. At the end you will be armed with information to make your own trip!!
