The 4.2 hectare Bob Blackburn Flora Reserve (Bush Forever Site 062) is located on Williams Road in Seville Grove. It is recognised as a ‘Forrestfield Complex Threatened Ecological Community’ – a community of species which was once common to the Swan Coastal Plain. However, now as little as nine per cent remains.
The vegetation is dominated by a woodland of Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata), Woody Pear (Xylomelum occidentale) and Banksia with some Marri (Corymbia calophylla). Common species of the shrub layer include Blueboy (Stirlingia latifolia), Daviesia nudiflora, Yellow Buttercups (Hibbertia hypericoides), Balga (Xanthorrhoea preissii), Smokebush (Conospermum stoechadis), Brown Pea (Bossiaea eriocarpa), Couch Honeypot (Dryandra lindleyana), Yellow Pea (Gompholobium capitatum) and Drumsticks (Dasypogon bromeliifolius). Interesting flora found in the reserve is the yellow Many-flowered Honeysuckle (Lambertia multiflora var. darlingensis).
