What are Grevilleas?
Grevilleas are one of the most commonly known genus of plants in Australia with over 350 species represented. Grevillea forms include prostrate groundcovers, groundcovers, shrubs and trees. They have evergreen foliage in a variety of shapes ranging from needle-shaped, saw-toothed to fern-like and have flowers that present either as a ‘spider’ or as a ‘toothbrush’. Grevillea flowers come in all colours except blue and some combine two colours.
Grevilleas interbreed freely and this ability to do so has led to extensive hybridisation and selection of horticulturally desirable attributes. However, there are so many Western Australian Grevilleas in cultivation now that it is easy to find a Grevillea that is suited to your particular garden soil type. Also, growing Western Australian Grevilleas helps to attract native wildlife into your garden providing an important food and habitat source for them.
This e-book gives you not only a list of beautiful Grevilleas for your garden but detailed information on each of the plants.
